The Caloundra City Private School has set new standards of education on the Sunshine Coast.Ī milestone was reached on Henzells Agency 75th Anniversary the Henzells Pelican Waters Foundation was established to support the Caloundra community, local charities and families who do not receive government support.

Much of the land that Caloundra is built on today has been either directly owned or transacted through Henzells Agency. There is a true family spirit which continues today with the partners carrying the torch into the new millennium guiding projects which had been first envisioned by Roy’s grandfather, nurtured and grown by Bevan and then developed into fruition by current members of the Henzells team.
In 2019 Roy and Gary are still at the helm of Henzells Agency and have grown it into one of the Sunshine Coast’s most respected agencies. It was in 1990 that a close friend of Roy’s, Garry Waters, was brought in as a partner. Within 11 years the Henzell family business had passed from the second to the third generation of the family. Kate, Judy, Roy Junior & Mary Henzell in 1982 In 1982 Bevan died, leaving the operation of the still thriving business to his wife Judy, their son Roy Henzell Junior and business partner Des Rockliff. In 1972, Bevan moved the business into bigger premises on Bulcock Street, which is still known as Henzells Plaza today.īevan Henzell was well-liked in the Caloundra community, being described as “the fairest man I’ve ever met” by the Shire Chairman. The Henzells family aimed at developing various shops in the main street of Caloundra.
